Conference Weekend

A couple weekends ago was Conference Weekend! It was so nice to relax and listen to the words of the prophet and the apostles and really hear what the Lord wanted me to hear at this time in my life. Our dear friends Meghan and Micah came to visit from Colorado, and brought with them tickets to the Saturday afternoon session. It was Scott and my first time going to conference, so we were SO excited that Meg and Micah invited us to go! We decided to make a day out of it, so Saturday morning we met at Trax and rode up to Salt Lake, then spent some time walking around Temple Square. And yes, we even took pictures! (Again, Scott and I really need to get better at this whole picture taking thing.)

We were a little worried about making it on time and getting good seats, so we got some smoothies and then headed to the conference center to make sure we got our seats. We made it in plenty of time, and even had time to kill, but hey, we got good seats! :) It was such a great experience to be at conference and feel the spirit that's in the conference center. Loved it!

And here we are in the conference center:
It was such a great weekend. I even got to spend some time with some of my best friends at a much needed girls night while Scott was at the priesthood session. We are so blessed to have the gospel in our lives to guide us and give us strength. I don't know where I would be without it! I love the Lord so much and am so grateful for the blessings that he gives me every day, like an amazing husband, a healthy pregnancy and baby so far, jobs for both Scott and myself, a place to live, and being surrounded by fantastic family and friends. Really, can life be any better? I owe everything I have to this gospel and my Heavenly Father. The church is true, and we are so blessed to be a part of it! :)

Yay for General Conference! I'm glad you guys got to go, and Meghan and Micah would make it even better! I'm sad I didn't get to see them.
